One of India’s rare original films that made mullah at the Box Office, Stree is back with its sequel.

The second part features the same cast with some special cameos by big names.

But the most important thing about Stree 2 is its ending which leaves viewers with many questions. Let’s explore it in this blog.

Who Was Chandrabhan? And Who Exactly is Sarkata in Stree 2?

Chandrabhan was the mukhiya or leader of Chanderi. He was a well-built, strong man but had arrogance running high in his veins.

Chandrabhan loved drinking and idolized Dushaasan (Mahabharat). He was equally misogynist, who believed women should only be in the kitchen.

His sole goal was to allow the slavery of women through predatory sexualization.

Chandrabhan and his friends used to watch a prostitute’s (Stree) dance performance. When Stree wanted to marry her lover, they first beheaded her lover and then burned the couple together in front of Stree’s little daughter.

When Stree returned as a ghost, she avenged the sin committed against her by beheading Chandrabhan and his friends.

She further buried their heads 6 feet below the ground.

Now, after Stree goes away from Chandoli in the first part of the movie, Chandrabhan returns as Sarkata in Stree 2.

Why Sarkata Takes Away Girls in Stree 2? What is His Goal?

As mentioned earlier, Chandrabhan and his aides believed that women belong in the kitchen.

Now, after Stree is gone from Chandoli, Sarkata wants to kill all those girls who are forward-thinking, progressive, and aiming to be independent.

People of Chandoli think girls are leaving for better opportunities in big cities, unaware of the fact that Sarkata takes them at night.

How is Sarkata Killed in Stree 2?

Since Sarakata is a ghost of epic proportions, killing him requires an equally strong opponent. When he was alive, Stree had beheaded Chandrabhan with a sword.

Therefore, Sarkata can only be killed by the same sword. However, there is a twist. The sword is lodged halfway in the rock in Sarkata’s den.

Nobody except Vicky can take out the sword while only Stree can use the sword to kill Sarkata.

Hence, in the final battle, Vicky’s kindness helps him retrieve the sword, which he then passes to Stree who ends Sarkata once and for all.

How is Varun Dhawan Linked to Stree 2?

So, Varun Dhawan’s film, Bhediya, which was also directed by Amar Kaushik and produced by MADDOCK Films, had a post-credit scene.

The scene where Vicky and Bittoo go to Delhi to ask for Jana’s help is Bhediya’s post-credit scene.

In Bhediya, only Jana knew about Bhaskar (Varun Dhawan) being a bhediya. He had kept him in his house in Delhi.

Now, when Akshay Kumar’s character tells the gang that the one who can kill Sarkata must be a man and a woman, Jana involves Bhediya in his plan.

This, he calls his PLAN B. But nobody lets him spill it out. Still, he goes ahead and tells Bhaskar everything, who eventually comes to Shraddha Kapoor (unnamed) and Vicky’s rescue in the final battle.

What is Akshay Kumar’s Role in Stree 2?

Akshay Kumar was probably the biggest surprise of Stree 2. Initially, he is introduced in the movie as a descendant of Udaybhan, or Chandrabhan, for that matter.

In essence, Sarkata is his ancestor.

A resident of a mental asylum, he is the one who had sent the letter to Rudra (Pankaj Tripathi), telling him about Sarkata.

When asked about how Sarkata can be killed, it is Akshay Kumar’s character that gives the ultimate clue in the form of a riddle.

At the end of the movie, we are shown a post-credit scene, where the mortal remains of Sarkata reach Akshay Kumar in a steel container.

He drinks it in the form of lava and turns into a paranormal creature or ghost. Akshay Kumar is sure shot the primary villain of Stree 3.

Is there a Post Credit Scene in Stree 2?

Yes, not one but there are 3 post credit scenes in Stree 2. While the first pertains to Varun Dhawan talking to Jana about him having a crush on Shraddha Kapoor, the second one involves Akshay Kumar drinking the mortal remains of Sarkata.

The final post-credit scene of Stree 2 features a song involving Shraddha, Varun, and Rajkummar Rao.
