I am here with the Episode 3 recap of Bad Cop, Hotstar’s new Hindi series.

The weekly release ended on an exciting note in the previous episode when Arif Khan rang the doorbell of Devika’s house at the end of the 2nd episode.

Here is what happens next.

Devika opens the door and allows Arif to question them. She puts the letter on the side table.

He informs the couple that Arjun’s last known location was traced near their house. What follows is an obvious query asking if Arjun (fake) has met Arjun (recently) recently.

Arjun answers saying it has been around two years since he last met his brother.

Moreover, he emphasizes the fact that his brother has not killed Anand Mishra as he is only capable of committing petty crimes.

Khan tells him that the case is personal for him and he will not spare the guilty at any cost.

Rhea, their daughter, walks out of her room. Consequently, Devika asks Arif to leave, who then makes them sign a statement noting that they have had no contact with Arjun in the recent past.

Arjun used to copy Karan’s signature during their days at the orphanage. Hence, it doesn’t come across as an issue for him.

While taking the signed papers, Arif deliberately takes the letter as well but Devika notices him and points it out. He then puts it back.

However, Khan did it to take away any attention he may have grabbed for sticking a microphone on the lower part of the tabletop.

He walks out and sits with his team in the car parked near their house to listen to their conversations through the mic.

Devika reprimands Arjun for going outside behind her back in the wee hours. She asks what is in the note.

Arjun says every time they talk, it ends up with a fight. Therefore, he decided to put his feelings in the letter.

He also says that the note doesn’t have much importance and tries to take it away. But Devika gives it back only later telling him to first change his behavior if he wants to change things between them.

In the next scene, we see several trucks moving on the road, leading up to a check post.

A man walks out of one of the trucks and pays an official of the Indian Forest Services. He then allows them to pass.

Kazbe receives a phone call from a man named David. Apparently, he is the guy who is to receive the consignment.

David tells Kazbe that he doesn’t want to lock horns with the police and Kazbe must leash his nephew.

However, Kazbe gets angry and says that his nephew is like his son. And only he can curse him.

He arrogantly says that David’s consignment is under process and will be delivered soon.

Arjun prepares for his first day at the police station. But he doesn’t know how to dress up. Therefore, he takes the help of the internet.

Moreover, he wisely sets his hair like Karan.

At the station, he is unaware of his cabin. He tricks a kid, who serves tea to everyone and orders him to put his cup of tea at his table.

He follows the child and finds his cabin.

Devika calls him into her cabin and asks him as a senior officer about Arjun. She wants to know if he didn’t meet Arjun, then how was his location traced to their house.

Furthermore, she enquires about Arjun’s mission at Bhaucha Dhakka.

Since Arjun doesn’t know much, he remembers Karan telling him about some “Raghav” when they were in the midst of the fight at Bhaucha Dhakka.

He takes Raghav’s name and Devika quickly identifies him as Kazbe’s nephew.

She then asks how he got to know about Bhaucha Dhakka. In a puzzling situation, Arjun again uses his presence of mind and says he got it from an informer whose name he cannot reveal.

Devika takes over the case and orders him to follow her lead henceforth.

Arif’s team finds the car which was abandoned by Arjun and Shreya. An eyewitness tells them that he only saw a girl not accompanied by anyone.

The police pay respects to Raahil, who was martyred at Bhaucha Dhakka. Arjun spots Arif standing in the back and goes to meet him.

Khan warns him of action if he finds out that Arjun is in touch with his brother. However, Arjun tells him that he needs to give up on his already-formed opinion.

Only then would he be able to find the truth.

Arjun meets Shreya in a hotel room, where they make love. Later, Shreya advises him to entangle Devika with his sweet talk.

She thinks it would help in winning her trust and solving the case quicker.

Arif ransacks Anand Mishra’s office for clues. He asks his boss if Anand has recently received any threats. The boss says threats are not unusual for journalists.

Moreover, Mishra would never tell anyone about the story he was working on. Even the boss would know only when his story would get published.

His team discovers an air ticket to Dubai from Anand’s cabin.

Arjun and Devika wait for Raghav (Kazbe’s nephew) at an isolated place after she receives a tip-off from her informer.

While at it, Arjun tries to sweet talk. He says that he wants things to go back to normal. When Devika interrupts, he tells her that the Bhaucha Dhakka incident opened his eyes.

Now, he wants to live for his family. He doesn’t want any fights anymore and misses Devika so much.

Raghav arrives and gets into a car. The couple trail him quietly. They stop at what looks like a cargo filling station for trains.

His men can be seen transferring large boxes from a train to trucks.

Arjun and Devika think it must be Kazbe’s consignment and call for backup. As the trucks start moving, Arjun feels it might be too late by the time help arrives and decides to try a trick.

He takes Devika into confidence and runs to the other side. Spotting some petrol drums in the vicinity, he spills one of them in the way of the moving trucks.

Arjun then shoots at the petrol, triggering a minor blast, enough to halt the movement.

Raghav and his men scatter around and the two cops go behind them. While Devika goes after one of the sidekicks, Arjun is behind Raghav.

He has several chances of shooting him during the chase but he doesn’t do it.

Later, they have a passing confrontation and his gun falls down.

Raghav reaches a drying yard, where several clothes are hung for drying. This makes it tough for Arjun to spot his rival.

At the end of the third episode, we see Raghav pointing a gun at Arjun’s head before the screen goes black and the sound of a gunshot reverberates in the background.
