Blame the Game Netflix Ending Explained
When tensions rise and Jan ups the ante, Matthias (Mat) challenges him to a Ping-pong match. The table is set up and the two players enter the arena, naked.
Pia is taken aback seeing them without clothes. It is decided that the loser will have to drink a whole bottle of chili sauce.
The match begins and Mat has an upper hand right from the start.
He serves some fiery shots to lead his opponent by a huge margin. Jan, on the other hand, finds it hard to face him.
One of the shots by Mat hit Jan on his penis and he endures a lot of pain.
However, when he is pushed to the brink, with the scorecard at 10-3, Jan makes a miraculous comeback and wins the game 12-10.
He gives a befitting reply when one of his shots gets stuck in Mat’s ass.
After the victory, Jan gets overtly excited and shows his middle fingers to his counterpart.

Pia finds it disturbing and seems unhappy with his behavior.
Now, Mat, who is already slightly allergic to spicey food, has to drink the bottle of chili sauce.
While he does so, Sheila receives a text from Zora saying she will call her soon.
The sauce starts showing effects as Mat finds it tough to breathe. He starts gasping and feels like retching.
His condition deteriorates further and he coughs madly in the kitchen, trying to find something to nourish his throat.
Jan drops a nasty comment which doesn’t go well with Pia. She scolds him and asks him to help Mat.
Subsequently, Jan offers him some milk from the refrigerator to soothe his gut. Mat gulps it all down and feels better.
Karo walks inside the kitchen followed by others. She goes crazy upon finding out that Mat drank the milk.
It wasn’t purchased from outside but she had pumped it from her breasts. Furious, she calls it the worst game night ever.
An argument ensues and Karo asks Jan what he was doing in Gabriele’s room when she was changing clothes.
Hearing about it, Pia leaves the room angrily. Jan blocks her way and asks where she is going. She mentions that comparing dicks with Mat wasn’t cool at the Ping Pong table.
Jan says that Mat was the one who started it but Pia rightly points out that they are no longer in kindergarten.
However, things worsen as Jan calls the game night ‘horrible.’ But Pia feels it used to be fun without him.
Jan sarcastically apologizes for not fitting in their perfect world of the rich and successful. He calls himself poor and says that Pia likes the company of the rich.
But, in reality, Pia never thought any of it. She is only irritated because Jan and Mat are trying to win her over as if she were a trophy.
Jan brings up her upcoming job for Karo in the argument, disappointing Pia further. She seems hopeless while Jan vents out his frustration.
This is when things take another drastic turn as Mat walks up to them and apologizes to Pia.
The reason? He says, he mistook their kiss the other day and it confused him a bit. Everybody is shocked to hear this, especially Jan.
How can they kiss even after breaking up?
And since it was only a few days ago, it must have been around the time when she had begun seeing Jan.
Emotionally broken, Jan decides to leave the place and texts Alex to forget the bird. After this, his friend suddenly appears through the window, startling all those in the room.
As he walks across towards the door following in Jan’s footsteps, Alex informs everyone that he mistakenly destroyed Oliver’s Play Tower.
The news of the bird and the play tower sends Oliver in deep shock.
Mat leaves the place owing to the effects of the chili sauce. However, just as Jan and Alex reach their bicycle in the parking lot, the latter realizes that he has lost the key.
He thinks it fell down when he was caught in the net earlier on.
They go inside looking for the key but get trapped in the net together.
Pia’s friends ask her about the kiss and why didn’t she tell them about it earlier.
She asks Oliver why did he invite Mat to the game night in the first place. In response, Oliver says he was told (by Mat) that they might have a shot after the kiss.
He wanted to help him and hence, he only drew the cards Mat was aware of during the games earlier. Pia knew all along about it.
Pia then receives a call from Mat, who is driving to a Zoo. Known as a predator among his friends, they think that he is going to shoot a tiger.
Given his condition at the moment, Pia and others feel concerned for him. They get into the car and go in search of Mat.

Oliver’s neighbor arrives near the net and shoots Helmut-Kohl. He then notices the two friends stuck in the trap he had laid for wild boars.
First, he inquires about their identity and then clarifies that he hasn’t shot the bird. Instead, he has only sedated him.
The neighbor frees them and amicably hands over the white bird.
Jan and Alex go to the house to deliver the bird, where Kay tells them that everybody has gone to the zoo because of Mat.
It triggers doubts in Jan’s mind and he rushes to the zoo himself along with Alex. Kay also joins them on his separate bike.
Jan tries calling Pia but she avoids him. In the car, Karo asks for the pills from Sheila and the latter happily passes it along.
Pia expresses her dissatisfaction with her taking the pills. However, Sheila reveals that the pills are fake and she did this because Karo was on her way to becoming a junkie.
Pia praises Karo for her hard work and the company she has built. However, she says she cannot work for her as her goal is to work as an independent photographer.
Moreover, working for a friend can be tricky and lead to a degrading friendship.
They reach the zoo, followed by Jan and company.
Near the Bengal Tiger’s containment area, they find vomit on the ground, an indication of Mat being there.
Pia calls Mat and they focus on his phone’s ringtone. The sound leads them to the tiger enclosure, and they see his phone in there.
Everybody feels that he is down there inside the enclosure. Jan decides to climb down and find Mat. The rest of the friends call him stupid.
This is when Sheila receives a call from Zora and excuses herself.
Jan goes down, picks up Mat’s phone from the ground, and carefully moves forward. He finds the Tiger sleeping behind the rocks.
Quietly, he turns around and decides to climb back up. But it isn’t easy. Fearing that he might die, he apologizes to Pia for destroying their game night.
She also says sorry for kissing Mat but assures him that she doesn’t have any feelings for him.
Meanwhile, the Tiger wakes up and corners Jan, who finds it difficult to balance himself on the rock. Kay brings a rope and they throw it down for Jan.
All of them put their heart into pulling him up with the Tiger constantly jumping to get a hold of him. Eventually, they successfully pull Jan out of the death hole.
A few moments later, Mat casually walks up to them with a water bottle in his hand.
He says he wanted to go down but felt sick. Moreover, he lost his phone while taking a selfie.
Pia calls him a bigmouth and again apologizes to Jan. They kiss each other. Oliver shows a video to Karo explaining why his shirt was at Gabriele’s.
He was learning to dance from her to present it as an anniversary gift to Karo. The latter offers a deal that he will come to dance classes with her while she will come to his next role-playing event.

And just like that, they also kiss each other. When Kay tries to interfere, Karo asks him to find a new apartment for himself.
Kay then asks Jan if he has a free room but Pia tells him that they need privacy.
Sheila comes back after having a conversation with Zora.
She says Zora was sorry to break up with her. However, now she has broken up with her. Sheila thanks Jan for sending the message earlier.
But before Jan can say something, Mat interrupts and reveals that he was the one who sent the message.
The story takes a leap of four weeks.
We see Jan cooking food when Pia enters the house. He asks why didn’t she go to the game night.
Just then, as he turns around, all the friends, including Karo, Oliver, Kay, and Sheila enter the house to surprise Jan.
As the credits roll, we see Karo and Olver practicing dancing. Alex arrives at the door and sneaks out with Gabriele.
