Doctor Climax Episode 2 Recap Detailed Explanation

In 1978, sex education was introduced in Thai schools.

This is the backdrop Doctor Climax uses to begin the second episode, where we see a classroom filled with teenagers.

A female teacher educates them about the changes males and females undergo in their adolescence age.

Don, one of the students, is asked by the teacher to come in front and read the rest of the chapter aloud.

While doing so, Don’s eyes fall on his crush’s cleavage and he gets a boner.

Everybody, including his crush, notices it and starts laughing. Even the teacher sees his trousers, leading to further embarrassment for the young kid.

She asks Don to put it down and he tries to do so using the book in his hand.

The teacher feels disgusted and asks him to put the book away, but Don doesn’t listen. She then tries to snatch the book and they indulge in a push and pull.

Ultimately, it puts pressure on Don’s boxers and his trousers become wet. All the kids in the classroom notice this and make fun of him.

He plucks a chart paper from the board and covers his pants before rushing to the washroom.

After he goes back home, Don writes to Doctor Climax asking about how to control his erections among other things.

The kid goes into a mental trauma and also gets into an embarrassing argument with his dad, whose face is not shown to us.

The promo stamp plays out at this point.

Nat enters the Bangkok Express’ office. He is welcomed by the staring eyes of the staff members as they look at him in awe.

Inside, he meets the core group which is standing around a table filled with letters from the readers for Dr. Nat.

He picks one of them and notices that it is addressed to Doctor Climax and not him.

Nat registers his reservation against the dictatorial approach by the team in going with a pen name instead of his original name.

The people in the meeting defend the decision by calling the name fancy and that it would arouse the readers’ curiosity.

When nothing works, Linda takes it upon herself and says it was her idea.

However, Nat is still unhappy as she has no right to decide on his behalf.

Linda replies saying that soon, he would be thank her for changing the name.

Nat visits a store that also sells newspapers.

A group of teenagers ask for the Bangkok Express only for Doctor Climax’s column.

While walking across the street, he comes across several people reading his column aloud. But that’s not the only thing.

Many readers also feel ashamed going through the sensual write-up.

At his home, Nat’s mom throws out all the previous copies of the Bangkok Express in the aftermath of Doctor Climax’s ‘obscene’ column.

She also curses the writer and blames his parents for raising a perverted son.

Later in the night, Nat’s wife, Tukta, secretly gives him a copy of the newspaper so that he can read his regular fiction.

This is the first time we see him getting happy at his wife’s sight.

While they are at the table, an interview of Dr. Pornchai plays on the TV, where he can be seen blabbering against the pornographic column by Doctor Climax.

He calls him a quack who is a blot on the newspaper’s image.

Moreover, Pornchai gives him a new name, Dr. Flaccid, and vows to bring an end to the column.

In the very next scene, a meeting between Choo and the investor takes place, as promised in the first episode.

He bashes him for adding a column related to sex and cites Pornchai’s criticism as an example of how readers might be thinking of them.

Choo lays bare the positive aspects of the column, including the rising sales, nearing the numbers of Siam Bulletin, and, on top of it all, the helpful nature of the column for readers who usually shy away from seeking answers to such questions.

The investor tells him that his wife keeps poking him about his son being treated as a clown in school.

Though this was an out-of-context comment, it shows that the investor also feels that the column is helpful.

While they conversate, the rest of the staffers eavesdrop outside the door, led by Po.

After the meeting, Choo tells everyone that all is well. However, in secret, he tells Tien that they have only got one month to run the column and beat the Siam Bulletin.

They decide to keep the information from Nat to ensure his writing is not affected.

Further, Choo also makes The Climax Question a daily column instead of weekly.

He chooses Linda for the regular delivery of letters to Nat.

Linda goes to Nat’s clinic to deliver the letters and apologizes for changing his name without consent.

In return, she offers to buy him a meal.

However, the doctor thanks her for changing the name due to the scenes he had witnessed earlier and offers her a mean instead.

Seeing him sad, Linda encourages him to continue the column citing the overwhelming response from the readers in the form of letters.

She hands over the box of screened letters and asks him where would he like to work. Nat decides to work at the publishing house in secret.

Instead of going out for a meal, Linda asks for an after-hours consultation in the form of a vaginal examination.

During the medical inspection by Nat, their chemistry seems to be increasing as they become comfortable in each other’s company.

Once done, the doc delivers his verdict that everything is fine and grades her vagina in the “A” category after she insists on the same.

Choo writes an article in the newspaper announcing that The Climax Question will be published daily.

He emphasizes the fact that sex problems should be taken seriously and Bangkok Express is inclined to do so as a social responsibility.

The decision to make it regular infuriates Pornchai and the next day, when Nat is working in the publishing house, he barges inside to find out the face behind Doctor Climax.

With support from staffers, Nat manages to hide himself in the storeroom, where he accidentally finds Linda.

They hide there being physically close to each other.

Sensual tension rises between the duo though none of them expresses it overtly.

The rest of the staffers fend Pornchai off who is then tricked by Choo into leaving the office. Pornchai angrily exits the place.

In the wake of the incident, Choo moves Dr. Nat into the adjacent building with the art department, leaving him in Linda’s care.

They start working in the same cabin and become friends soon enough. Linda also feels attracted towards him and things seem to be moving in the right direction.

Days pass, and he answers questions related to delayed ejaculation, the use of semen for facial glow, and drinking a woman’s breastmilk.

Don also writes to Doctor Climax about his large manhood that stands up on its own. His friends call him Don the Flashlight. And he wants to get an operation to reduce it by half.

Nat answers him by teaching him how to control his manhood and that he should be proud of its size since men dream of something like that.

In fact, the doctor requests him to give him the exact measurements so that he can study it further.

With Nat’s techniques now out in the newspaper, everybody in Thailand gets educated.

Choo increases the number of copies as The Bangkok Express’ sales get closer to that of Siam Bulletin’s.

Nat further segregates the letters and gets Linda into confidence. On the other hand, even Tukta reads the column secretly.

Nat gets Linda to draw a diagram and then presents the idea of publishing it in the newspaper to Choo and Tien.

He thinks it will make it easier for people to understand certain things.

However, Choo is shocked to see the diagram and says that Thai society is not yet ready for such a picture in the public domain.

Nat respectfully exits the cabin. Tien suggests that the diagram will help boost their sales but Choo thinks they are already in a lot of trouble.

Po eavesdrops once again.

Nevertheless, we are not shown the contents of the picture at this point.

Nat hangs out with Linda and her friends in a bar. Linda calls him gay and they together tease him playfully.

The doctor and Linda drop her drunk friends at their home, where she accidentally trips and falls on Nat.

Nervous, he leaves the place and jerks off imagining her at his home, again leaving his wife alone in bed.

The next day, the whole of Thailand is taken aback by the picture of an almost naked woman printed by the Siam Bulletin.

Due to this, the newspaper’s sales skyrockets and the Bangkok Express falls behind.

Po, having overheard Choo and Tien, discussing the dynamics after the sales report, informs Nat and Linda that the column is being dropped.

Strangely, the investor gives the green signal to the column. The reason behind this is Don, who happens to be his son.

After Don’s problems were resolved, the investor realized the importance of Nat’s column.

Choo informs everybody that they only need to keep in mind the newspaper’s reputation while doing their work.

Moreover, he also gives a letter to Linda to deliver to Nat, who finds out that it has been written by Don.

The teenager informs the doctor that things are back to normal after he followed his suggestions.

He even shares with him a picture and measurements of his manhood for further research.

Don’s dad, who is the financier of the newspaper gave the letter and the photo to Choo who passed it on to Linda. This is how it reached Nat.

At the end of the second episode, we are shown that people are shocked to find the image of female genitalia in the Bangkok Express.

Choo screams out loud upon seeing it as he had categorically denied publishing it.
