This blog pertains to the ending explanation of the series, along with the final episode’s recap.
Here we go.
Gyaarah Gyaarah Series Ending Explained and Episode 8 Recap
The final episode begins with the visuals of a young woman high on drugs in DK Sultania’s house. The scene is from 24th Nov 2016 and the woman is Sultania’s daughter, Shyamali.
She attempts a stunt and falls from her balcony into the swimming pool. Later, she is admitted to a rehabilitation center.
The intro montage plays out and the story begins from the present day i.e., 25th Nov 2016. Vamika’s mother brings her tea but finds out that she has already left for office.

She was possibly trying to calm things down after their argument over marriage a day ago.
The scene then shifts to the police station where Juyal inquires with Vamika about Yug’s connection with Shaurya Antwal.
He tells her that Yug is asking around for him. But Vamika has no information about their link. In fact, she is surprised to know about it.
Juyal taunts her saying she should at least know things about her team members. Vamika’s mother, on the other hand, keeps calling her but she continuously rejects the call.
Sultania meets his daughter at the rehab center and asks her why she uses drugs. Her daughter replies with an ironic answer saying it is her father who supplies the best drugs in the area.
She indirectly takes a dig at him, meaning that a thief should not preach that stealing is a crime.
Yug suggests that his team pursue the Babloo Baarood Murder case, which happened way back in 1998.
But Balwant says that the case was already solved and Shamshera was nabbed as the prime accused. He is still serving jail time.
However, Yug gets past him saying that Shamshera doesn’t have the killer’s profile. Vamika interrupts him and enters the room.
She pressurizes him to reveal why he wants to pursue the specific case from 1998. Yug, knowing it won’t be easy to convince her, tries to reason with solid logic.
He shares that Shamshera used to be a street-smart criminal in his prime days. He would never leave even a pinch of evidence behind.
Why would such a guy go out to commit mass murders in his own vehicle, Yug asks.
Moreover, Shamshera may have gone to jail for smuggling, but he had no records of murder or even attempt to murder charges.
But since Vamika knows Yug is looking for Shaurya, she digs further and asks what his real intention is. She pushes him to the brink and amps up the pressure.
Yug finally decides to reveal the truth but moments before he can, the telephone rings and they are informed of an emergency meeting called by the IG.
In the meeting, the cops are told about the kidnapping of Sultania’s daughter, Shyamali, from the rehabilitation center.

Apparently, DK Sultania is now a renowned industrialist and an influential individual.
The cops have found Shamshera’s fingerprints on the mirror of Shayamali’s bathroom in the rehab center.
Juyal shows everyone the CCTV footage of Shamshera putting a bag in the trunk of a vehicle. They are sure that Shyamali is inside the bag.
Bhatia announces that it is a simple kidnapping case and they must nab the culprit before things go out of hand.
Among the seated officers, Yug raises an objection. He says that it is impossible for the case to be this simple.
Moreover, if it was so straightforward, a dreaded criminal like Shamshera wouldn’t directly look into the CCTV camera and flash his face.
But Bhatia gets angry at him for trying to be over-smart and asks him to follow his orders. He scolds him and hurls abuses for being disobedient.
Before lashing out of the meeting room, he orders the police officers to nab the kidnapper as soon as possible.
Vamika confronts Yug outside and wraps him up for his misconduct. However, the young officer says he didn’t get into the police force to lick the boots of his seniors.
All he wants is justice for the kidnapped girl. However, Vamika warns him to tread carefully and control his ego, which might lead him to make a mistake he will regret forever.
Sultania sends his man to find Shamshera and bring his daughter back. However, Shamshera gets the guy and burns him alive.
He calls Sultania and they talk man to man for the first time in 18 years. Shamshera warns him not to go to the police. Else, he will kill Shyamali.
Soon after the call ends, the police reach his place, led by Vamika. She asks for his permission to tap his phone and he hands over the device to her.
Vamika asks him if Shamshera was his driver, but Sultania denies remembering his name. He simply denounces any connection with the kidnapper.
The officer tells him it is the right time to reveal any personal angle. However, Sultania remains adamant on his stand.
Yug visits Shamshera’s jail cell, where the walls are marked with writeups about only one thing: forgiveness from Garima, his daughter.
The accompanying constable tells him that nobody knows much about how his daughter died. He attributes her death to an accident.
Moreover, Shamshera would always blame himself for her death, according to the constable.
He also tells him that Shamshera had a passion for becoming an electrician. He would either be seen writing on the wall or working in the workshop.
Back home, Yug brainstorms on how to find out about Garima’s death. It is when the clock triggers 11:11 PM and the transmission on the walkie-talkie opens again.
He quickly grabs it and informs Shaurya of the latest developments. He asks him about Shamshera and Garima.
A sad Shaurya tells him that every time they try to change the past and do something good, a bad thing happens.
He then goes on to narrate Garima’s story and Yug carefully listens.
When Shaurya met Shamshera while he was being taken into custody, the latter swore on his daughter to say that he didn’t kill Babloo.
Shaurya then went to the guy who had given him the ‘tire’ report and beat him up.
He finally confessed to having manipulated the report on the directions of the lawyer, Dobriyal.
Consequently, Shaurya went to Dobriyal’s house and asked him how could he do something like this. However, the lawyer was indifferent even to the death of an innocent girl.
It was Dobriyal who didn’t let the news of Garima’s murder go public to stop the flow of sympathies towards Shamshera.
Shaurya thrashed him badly for his evil attitude.
Shyamali, tied and locked up inside a freezer van, somehow reaches out for her phone and calls her father.
The cops track the call while Vamika asks her about any crucial leads she can give to ease the process of location identification.
Shyamali tries everything she possibly can before the phone slips out of her hands and switches off due to low battery.
Vamika uses her mind to guess that she must be in a freezer van. They track the location to be near Dhanaulti Road.
She rushes out along with Balwant to the place but stops midway and understands that things cannot be this easy.
After all, why would Shamshera leave Shyamali’s phone with her?
Due to her suspicions, Vamika asks Balwant to stay back and keep an eye on Sultania.

On her way to Dhanaulti Road, she receives a call from Yug. He tells her that Shamshera’s real target isn’t his daughter but Sultania himself.
Vamika asks him questions about the source of his findings but Yug focuses on the real thing.
He says Shamshera believes that Sultania killed his daughter, hence he kidnapped Shyamali. But his main target is her father.
Moreover, Yug is sure that he must have kept Shyamali in a region near Garhwal Fort as a symbolic revenge.
Therefore, he asks Vamika to reach the Fort while he is on his way already.
On the other hand, Shamshera talks to Sultania through one of his men’s phones and asks him to come to Garhwal if he wants to see his daughter alive.
Sultania sneaks out of the house under the nose of Balwant, who later calls to inform Vamika of the same.
She directs him to reach Garhwal Fort after giving him an earful.
Further, she connects with the control room and informs that she is going to the fort while directing the rest of the team, which was behind her, to go to Dhanaulti Road.
Sultania is the first to reach the fort, followed by Yug, and Vamika.
He finds Shamshera standing atop a raised structure and pleads in front of him for his daughter’s life.
The kidnapper points towards a van parked in front of the fort and tells him to save Shyamali if he can.
Sultania runs towards the vehicle before Yug spots Shamshera and points a gun at him. He notices the van and calls Vamika.
Yug tells her about the van and informs that he has arrested Shamshera. Vamika, who has just reached the fort, rushes out of her vehicle, forgetting the phone inside.
She puts Sultania’s safety first and deals with the van all by herself, from opening the lock to entering inside.
When Yug notifies Shamshera that he will be back in jail for kidnapping Shyamali, the latter tells him that he is now going to commit the crime for the jail term he has already completed.
Yug connects the dots, remembering his passion for being an electrician. He quickly understands that a freezer van’s coolant requires LPG to run.
He instantly calls Vamika but she doesn’t pick up. Yug rushes down to stop her from entering the van.
But Vamika is already in. There is no one inside the van. She only finds a switch and as soon as she flips it on, the whole van blows away.
Yug, who is a few meters away, also suffers injuries, alongside Sultania.
On the contrary, the backup team, which was sent to Dhanaulti Road by Vamika, finds Shyamali in a freezer van over there.
Balwant also arrives at the Garhwal Fort with backup but it is too late by then. Vamika is dead.

Yug is shattered to see Vamika’s body when he wakes up. While they take her away on the stretcher, her watch falls and Yug picks it up.
The story then takes a leap of a few days.
At 11:11, Yug uses the transmission to contact Shaurya. He pleads with him to listen to him for one last time, informing him that an officer named Vamika Rawat has died in an accident.
Just as he speaks, Shaurya receives a phone call at his house from none other than Vamika Rawat. The series ends on a suspenseful note.
What Was Shamshera’s Plan at the End of Gyaarah Gyaarah?
Shamshera had two freezer vans with him. He had parked both at different places to divert the cops.
While the one at Dhanaulti contained Shyamali, the other, at Garhwal fort, was empty, aimed at triggering a blast.
He wanted to kill Sultania and avenge his daughter, Garima’s murder.
Why Shamshera Kidnapped Shyamali?
Shamshera kidnapped Shyamali because he wanted to see Sultania suffer for his misdeeds. His real goal was revenge for his daughter’s murder, committed by Sultania’s men.
Does Vamika Rawat Die in Gyaarah Gyaarah?
Yes, Vamika Rawat dies in 2016 due to the freezer van blast. However, she is still alive in the past and Shaurya can save her.
How Time Travel Works in Gyaarah Gyaarah (11:11)? What is Gyaarah Gyaarah Series About?
Gyaarah Gyaarah is a time-travel show, where two police officers, one in the past and the other in the present, talk to each other through a walkie-talkie.
The transmission in the walkie-talkie triggers exactly at 11:11 PM and lasts only for 1 minute, allowing Yug and Shaurya, the two cops, to connect with each other.
By doing this, they help each other in solving cases and changing the past. However, their actions lead to drastic changes or butterfly effects.
In the first season, the makers have not revealed the origin of the walkie-talkie or the theory of time travel.
Will there be a Second Season of Gyaarah Gyaarah?
It depends on the success of the first season I think, because the story is wide open. Unless the series fails badly, there will be a second season, thanks to several loose ends yet to be tied within the tale.
